19 “‘And you shall not steal.

God give to each as He sees fit. God also takes away as He sees fit. A loving God uses difficulty to draw us closer to in so that we might take refuge in Him and grow in spiritual maturity and trust. Stealing is an example of man’s way of working around God. God allowed us free will which includes the ability to self sooth and avoid His work in our lives. One of the things that fallen people do is try to bypass God’s lessons and take the glory from God. The example of theft could easily be expounded upon and related to excessive alcohol and drug use. These also fall into the category of things people use to avoid reproof and hide from the pain experienced from living outside the light of God. (Ephesians 4:28) 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
