Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Walking with God is like a hike where God is your GPS Google Map. He sees your direction where you can’t, but that is where we have to trust. He can see the whole picture, from the beginning to the end. His voice and conviction will tell you where the obstacles are, like construction and police on the GPS. We can see what is on front of us, but we can’t see everything. We are called to communicate with God and trust His vision/wisdom. He sees the full picture, the complete map. He sees our birth and our return home at the same time. If we stray away from the path in error God know how to direct us back. Like making a wrong turn the GPS will re-calculate our route and get us where we need to be. We trust the GPS to guide us, how much more should we trust our Savior?
As we journey through life we are given the gift of guidance. The Bible calls it grace. God wants to take us by the hand and lead us into the life He called us for. Believers should not panic if they don’t hear a definite direction. Seek God and His righteousness and your path will be right. Honor God and His calling and your hand will be in His. As you mature the path is clearer as are His desires for you. Your will starts to walk in step with His and the path you are is illuminated with grace and peace. Know that if your heart belongs to the creator of the universe, you are never alone. Your Heavenly GPS is a submitted prayer away.
Sit quietly and imagine the view God has of your life. He sees the turns you will make, the obstacles you will encounter, and the blessing He leaves along the way. He sees you from thirty thousand feet. Ask Him to lead, trust Him to guide, and honor Him along the way. How has He led you so far? Can you see where you have led yourself and gotten lost? Plan your journey with Him in mind always, only then can your will align with His.
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Isaiah 30:20-21 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
